Young Bird Racing

There are three sections for the youngsters of which contain pigeons bred by Premier UK, Ronny Van Tilburg and also from Brian’s old Van Loons and Benny Steveninck pigeons. His current team are 88 from the first round and 60 from the second round. Any more than that number would restrict them from running in his opinion. Brian races his old pigeons on the roundabout system.  One team was paired at Christmas time and allowed to rear one youngster. Once the youngster is fourteen days old he removes the hen and lets the cock finish off rearing on his own. Brian says this is most important to allow the cock to bond with his box. A new beginning

 

It was roughly five years ago when Brian Bolton left the shores of the UK to live in the hotbed of Belgian pigeon racing with a view to taking on some of the very best fanciers in the pigeon world.
